China's new fast rescue vessel Bei Hai Jiu 203 is put into action at Zhifu Island, Yantai, Shandong province, on July 1, 2013. Operated by Beihai Rescue Bureau, it will patrol the country's northern territorial waters. The vessel, which can carry 200 people on board, is fitted with equipment to enhance night rescues.
