People who died in an earthquake in Tangshan, Hebei province, are remembered on April 2. More people are using flowers instead of the traditional way of burning papers to honor the dead before this Qingming Festival. The festival, also called Tomb Sweeping Day - which falls on April 4 this year - is a national day for people to honor and remember their deceased loved ones at cemeteries and memorials.
