Ma Xuejing graduated from Academy of Arts &Design of Tsinghua University as an art master before beginning her work for China Daily in 2012. As art editor for China Daily’s Asian edition, Ma is tasked with creating illustrations that enhance the journalism covering the continent.

Ma Xuejing : “My major in university is graphic design, but I always spend time on studying multimedia information design. I also try to do industry, environmental art, clothing and ceramics designs as such a variety tries has not only deepened my skill in my major but improved my thinking ability and awareness of teamwork. I can experience happiness from one shift to the next. In the future, I plan to study illustrations, and do some research on different topics, techniques of expression and the style of deep portrait. Art is magical as even a little creation by thinking and trying for yourself can bring so much color to your life. “
