Sexual harassment in public places happens not only in China, but everywhere. Comparatively speaking, China is one of the safest countries for women traveling alone. So it is become hottest topic when such attacks take place. Chinese people have little awareness of self protection or have never trained on how to better protect themselves, especially the women. That's the point.

I’ve lived in China for quite a considerable time including my graduate school years, travelled and worked in a few cities and still choose my destination taking into consideration the density of smog or PM2.5 particulate matter in the region.
