Editor's note: The debate on whether food and drinks should be permitted on subways has been raging in China for a long time. In some cities, such as Shanghai and Wuhan, passengers are not allowed to eat or drink on subway and violators face fines. What do you think? You're welcome to leave your comments.

No. Eating on the train or the platform is not fun but people are forced to do so because their lives are so busy. Most people grab their coffee in the morning and run for the bus or the train because they would get late for their job. Therefore it shouldn't be illegal to eat on the subway.
