China and South Asia have long-standing relationships and are obviously, neighbors who will never be changed. Ups or downs but neighbors should be stable for mutual benefit.

China and India have the largest populations, largest territories and cultural backgrounds. Both developing nations share common opportunities and challenges but both have similar prejudices which need to be managed.

Sri Lanka is the small friendly partner of China with no conflicts. That's the symbol of calmness between two nations and Chinese private companies have major investments in Sri Lanka. Apart from this both nations have people to people exchanges and non-governmental relations.

The South Asian nations are vital for China's ongoing marketing plans.
