Comment on "Cost of education can ruin parents" (China Daily, March 19)

I feel sympathetic toward those parents who send their children to study in the United States at huge cost. However, the parents can only really blame themselves, as they are willing to send their children to even low-ranked universities. The parents should realize that not only the US is able to provide good education to the students and help them succeed.

Considering the high cost of tuition in the US, maybe Chinese parents should consider universities outside the US, which cost less but still offer good education.
