Inspiration is her second name

Comment on "When life gives you pickles" (China Daily, October 12)

The story is quite inspirational; it's more than touching. Life is not easy, and we have to strive to lead a better life.

In the photo with the news story we see Lei Changping smiling. Although I have never seen her in person, I believe that she never succumbs to difficulties and treats them with great determination and perseverance.

There was a time when everything went wrong with me. I was almost defeated by life and lay in low spirits for a long time. How I wish I knew about Aunt Lei then!

The process from caterpillar to butterfly is tough but worth pursuing. As Shakespeare says: "Sweet are the uses of adversity."

Sometimes struggle is what we need in life. If we went through our life without any obstacles, it would weaken us. We would not be as strong as we are now.
