Athletes attire for Chinese sports delegation unveiled

What will the Chinese delegation wear for the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympics? Following one-and-a-half-years of design and production, the cool, sporty outfits were unveiled on Thursday.
The attire for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics has been selected from more than one thousand designs. Male athletes will wear yellow shirts, red blazers and ties with Olympic five-ring patterns.
The outfits for the women consist of yellow blazers, red stripes and scarves symbolizing "lucky cloud". Bottoms, caps, belts and shoes are all white.
Liu Ruiqi, outfit designer said "The effect under strong lights is the most important. That's why we finally decided the color for these outfits are red and yellow. Yellow can reflect light. It's very bright. We also used light-reflecting materials in the red. When the Chinese delegation comes out, they will certainly catch the eyes of the audience."
This deep blue suit is for referees in the delegation. Considering the heat in August, all of these outfits have been designed with comfort in mind.
