Spain announces men's basketball squad for Beijing Olympics

MADRID -- Spain's selector of men's basketball team Aito Garcia Reneses presented Sunday the list of 12 players who will compete in the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008.
The Spainish Olympic squad is formed by Pau Gasol (Los Angeles Lakers, United States), Marc Gasol (Akasvayu Girona), Rudy Fernandez and Ricky Rubio( DKV Joventut), Juan Carlos Navarro (FC Barcelona), Jose Maria Calderon, Jorge Carbajosa (Toronto Raptors), Felipe Reyes, Raul Lopez y Alex Mumbru (Real Madrid), Carlos Jimenez and Berni Rodriguez (Unicaja).
Spain will be in the same group with Germany and Greece during the Olympic Games.
The team won the World Cup in Japan 2006 and later the silver medal in the Eurobasket of Madrid 2007.
