Domestic torchbearers selection work enters final stage

It won't be long before we find out who will be carrying the Olympic Flame in the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay. A selection process which started in the middle of last year is reaching its final stages.
More than 21,000 torchbearers will be selected around the world. And the domestic selection work has already entered into the final confirmation process.
The Olympic Torch Relay will begin with the lighting of the Flame in Olympia, Greece, on March 24.
IOC president Jacque Rogge and Liu Qi, the president of Beijing Organizing Committee of the 2008 Olympic Games expressed their best wishes to the future torchbearers.
Liu Qi, BOCOG President said "You torchbears will carry the torch 'Clouds of Promise' to spread the Olympic flame over the five continents. This will lead the opening of the Beijing Olympic Games. The theme slogan of Beijing Olympics is 'One world, One Dream'. When you lift the flame, you will represent all the Chinese people to show our passion to spread Olympic spirit around world and help further develop the friendship between Chinese and the people all around the world. "
