Karamay held a seminar on Karamay–Israel agriculture and irrigation development on May 30, with 11 well-known Israeli high-tech agricultural enterprises pledging cooperation with their Chinese counterparts.
The seminar focused on the agricultural development of West Xinjiang.
The Israeli companies provided a general introduction of their business models, successes and advantageous use of products, technology, management and the markets.
Marten Willnai, the Israel Ambassador to China, officials of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and enterprise representatives also attended the conference.
In closing, the Chinese and Israeli participants agreed that the meeting had been a success, and was a good starting point for combining Chinese agricultural resources with Israeli innovative technology in the future.
