Born: February 1962, Minhou county, Fujian province
Lin started work in August 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in January 1987. He holds a doctorate in engineering.
Lin is now vice-governor of Shanxi province, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, and deputy secretary of the leading Party members group of Shanxi Provincial People's Government.
