The sixth Taiyuan Half Marathon, a warm-up event for the annual Taiyuan International Marathon, opened in Taiyuan Forest Park on May 27.
The race was sponsored by Taiyuan sports bureau and Taiyuan Sports Federation. Apart from five age groups for males and three age groups for female participants, the event also included a team competition in group categories with 19 teams taking part.
The event attracted 1,387 runners. Feibao running group, a long-distance race branch of Taiyuan Athletic Association and Taiyuan Marathon Association won the top three medals for the team competition in the half marathon.
