A lantern show is on display in ancient Taiyuan county, Shanxi province, Jan 1. The ancient county was founded during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and was listed as a national-level historical and cultural block in 2011. The lantern show displayed more than 140 groups of lights and an aerospace virtual reality exhibition and mobile theatre were also available to entertain visitors.
