The German Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025 International Symposium was held at Shanxi Agriculture University (SXAU) on Feb 23.
At the meeting, over 60 scholars and experts from China and Germany exchanged ideas on China’s industrialization process, mechanical equipment revolution, and strategic cooperation between universities from the two countries.
"The meeting was co-organized by Shanxi Agriculture University and Fachhochschule für Oekonomie und Management. It holds great significance for talent cultivation, scientific research and exchanges between both sides," said Huang Chunyou, deputy dean of SXAU's Information College.
Industry 4.0 is the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, originating from a project in the high-tech strategy of the German government.
Made in China 2025 is the first ten-year action plan focusing on promoting Chinese manufacturing, issued by the State Council in May, 2015.
