Shanxi Department of Culture signed an agreement with Poly Culture Group on Dec 9 to advance cooperation on boosting local culture and tourism.
According to the agreement, the two sides will collaborate in the fields of building cultural industrial parks, developing tourism, conducting artwork transactions and constructing new theatres.
The industrial parks will house businesses engaged in art, theatre, education, entertainment, and the cultural and creative industries. A comprehensive art service platform where regular exhibitions and art fairs will be held is to be established.
In the cultural promotion sector, Shanxi and Poly Culture will co-produce plays and operas featuring Shanxi history, folk customs and culture as well as strengthen the protection of local intangible cultural heritage. Also, cultural communication with foreign countries is expected to be furthered with support of Shanxi and the group.
