A meeting aiming to introduce multinational corporations to Shanxi for mining investment was held in Shanxi. It was arranged by the provincial business department and focused on promoting opening-up, exchange and cooperation of energy and mining industries in Shanxi.
More than 40 people attended the meeting, including senior officials from Australia-based Rio Tinto, Canada-based Eldorado Gold Corp, SRK Consulting, Micromine and HDR/SALVA. Representatives from local energy and mining enterprises, such as Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co and Shanxi Coking Coal Group, also attended. They carried out in-depth discussions surrounding technology and investment cooperation about resources exploration and high-efficiency low-carbon utilization.
