Shanxi province’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has reported that, in 2012, the Shanxi Coal Transportation and Sales (Group) Co had 185.02 billion yuan in operating revenue, putting it at the top of the province’s enterprises for three years in a row.
In 2012, the group spent 12.89 billion yuan, with 10.22 billion yuan on coal production projects. It did construction work on 46 mines and had a coal output of 10.95 million tons. With its increased coal production, the group joined the global Top 500 companies, the first one in Shanxi.
