Leslie Maasdorp, vice-president and chief financial officer of the New Development Bank (NDB), pointed out that financial institutions need to pursue innovation and improve the efficiency of financial services. He also mentioned that NDB, a multi-lateral financial institution, hoped risk could be mitigated through sharing.

Ma Delun, former vice president of People's Bank of China, explained the meaning of intelligently developing financial systems and discussed the importance of private capital and creating strong connections between Chinese and overseas financial markets.

China International Finance Forum, launched in 2004, has been dedicated to becoming a platform for financial supervision institutions, financiers and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas on key issues, policies, and innovations in China's financial industry.
