Qingdao will build a 221-kilometer two-way lane on the dikes of the Dagu River with a total investment of more than 1 billion yuan ($160 million). The time limit of the project is 18 months.

The project will also include 13 cross-river bridges and green landscapes along the Dagu River, Qingdao Daily reported. Running through Laixi city, Pingdu city, Jimo city, Jiaozhou city and Chengyang district, the new driveway will connect south and north Qingdao.
