QINGDAO: Internet and telephone were available for ticket reservation of the 2011 Sudirman Cup world mixed team badminton championship, announced an official of the organizing committee on Friday.

The organizing committee will start to accept ticket reservation next Monday and badminton fans could book tickets through the website and telephone of the appointed ticket agent, said Zhu Yuetao, assistant secretary general of the organizing committee.

Fans can book tickets on the website, www.t3.com.cn, and reservation telephone number for fans in China is 400818333 and the reservation call for fans abroad will be released soon on the website, Zhu said.

A total of 120,000 tickets of 15 matches are available and the price of each ticket differs from 30 yuan (4.6 U.S. dollars) to 600 yuan (91.3 U.S. dollars) based on different competition phase and seats, according to Zhu.

Attracting about one thousand players and coaches from 34 countries and regions, the 2011 Sudirman Cup championship will be held from May 22 to May 29 in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province and venue of sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Sudirman Cup, competing in events of the men and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles, is the top world badminton championship and takes place every two years.
