Registered foreign investment reached $1.61 billion, and actual transferred foreign investment reached $810 million in 2012. There were 53 newly-approved foreign investment projects each with an investment of over 10 million yuan ($ 1.7million). There are five listed companies. A total of 20 qualification organizations have been established. In addition, 52 service outsourcing companies were established in the year, bringing the total number of such companies to 190. The amount of contracts for outsourcing services reached $410 million, while offshore delivery reached $190 million, up 56.6 percent and 55.3 percent year-on-year, respectively. The total overseas investment of Chinese companies reached $424 million.

Total exports and imports amounted to $12.64 billion, including exports valued at $5.66 billion, up 4.4 percent and 5.7 percent, respectively.
