The fourth Idea Pump Open Day and 2013 Suzhou Internet Culture Festival closed on October 13. The open day events included mobile internet software experience, creativity fair, doujin exhibition, animation and comic contest of college students in Yangtze River Delta Area and award-winning work show, cosplay invitation, and creative market.

The organizer of animation and comic contest received 1,812 works from students of 52 colleges, including 1,428 comics, 193 animation clips, 191 cosplay pictures, and 12 performances. Thanks to the flourishing animation & comic industry in SIP, many schools in SIP provide ACG programs and produce competent professionals, which in turn boost the rapid growth of creative industry in the region.

Instead of producing copycats, the Idea Pump encourages new ideas and creativity, and the doujin exhibition is a good example. Based on popular animation and comic works, the artists contribute original ideas and new contents in extensive forms of picture book, music, and game.
