Baotou has some leading enterprises, including Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Corporation and Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co Ltd, which can manufacture 50,000 highway trucks, 800 mineral vehicles and 4,000 railway rolling stocks per year.
