Inner Mongolia beginning carbon trading with Beijing

The Inner Mongolia region has announced that its cities of Hohhot and Erdos will start a carbon trading business with Beijing this year and cooperate in promoting energy conservation, emissions reduction, and air pollution controls, using a quota-trading system in relation to carbon dioxide emissions controls, and encourage forestry and grassland carbon sink projects and carbon emission reductions trading in the Beijing-Inner Mongolia carbon market.
