A delegation of travel agency represenatives from the western U.S. visited the Three-Gorges Tribe Scenic Spot and the Three-Gorges Dam Scenic Area in Yichang city on July 16.

The delegation was led by Luo Weijian, deputy director of the China National Tourism Administration’s office in Los Angeles, and the visitors gave valuable advice regarding the promotion of the tourist routes of the Three-Gorges in the North American market.

Domestic tourism has slowed down this year, and the National Tourism Administration has arranged for several travel agencies and tourism corporations, mainly from major cities along the Yangtze River, to go on a promotional tour to North America, with the aim of increasing their market share in the U.S. and Canada.
