A crew from CCTV channel 4 recently went to Shennongjia Natural Reserve in Hubei province for the filming of a program that introduces Chinese cities by comparing them with similar foreign cities.

In addition to its unique natural scenery and culture, the crew chose Shennongjia’s ingredients and herbs to represent its ecology and livable environment.

In the Dalongtan Golden Monkey Scientific Research Base, the crew members were quite excited to see monkeys jump and play in the forest. They learned about golden monkeys and got specific information about projects, research, and working and living conditions in the base.

“Paopao pigs” in the Dajiu Lake area also impressed the members. The pigs are raised in a natural and rich manner and they feed on herbs and mineral water.

The primeval forest in Jinhou Mountain, where the instantaneous value of negative oxygen ions can reach up to 190,000 per cubic meter, is a natural oxygen bar. Valuable and rare herbs can be easily found in the forest.
