The Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway (China)

The expressway is 320km in length, 51.81% of which is bridges and tunnels. It is not only China's largest expressway project with the longest construction period, the most complicated geological conditions and the biggest construction difficulty, but also one of the world's most technically difficult expressway projects ever built in mountainous areas.
For this reason it is praised as a "model project" representing the highest technical level in China or even in the world.
