Natural gas users exceeded 50,000 households in May in Huaqiao International Business Service Park, with total monthly gas usage hitting 400,000 cubic meters.
Since 2005, natural gas as a low carbon clean energy has been available for local residents. Huaqiao has widely promoted the use of natural gas in private clubs in the neighborhood and in day care centers and other public projects.
According to official data, the total length of the high-pressure gas pipeline is 60,000 meters, benefiting more than 50,000 households.
Huaqiao also plans to promote natural gas usage in new and old residential communities. By the end of 2014, Huaqiao is scheduled to realize gas coverage of 100 percent.
