Ru stone rubbings is a valuable part of ancient stone rubbings in China.

On September 3, the city of Ruzhou in Henan province announced that it will launch a Ru stone rubbing re-carving project to advance and enrich the fine cultural heritage of China.
Stone rubbing is the practice of copying the image of a stone onto a piece of paper. It’s been used to preserve Chinese calligraphy in the past.
Ru stone rubbings are a well preserved group of stone rubbings in China that cover Chinese script styles including the bronze script, seal script, clerical script, regular script, semi-cursive script and cursive script. It’s a valuable part of ancient stone rubbings in China.
Ruzhou also plans to construct a Ru stone rubbing park after the completion of the project, which is expected to be a new cultural site in Ruzhou.
Ruzhou is well-known for its three treasures: Ru porcelain, Ru stone rubbings and Ru stones.
