To ensure children live warm through this winter, the Xiaotun town family planning association recently launched a heart-warming activity. This is done so that leftover children, whose parents work as migrant workers in other places, could grow up healthily and happily.
Yao Taoye, secretary of Xiaotun town Party committee, led staff to visit households in villages and sent daily necessities, such as rice, flour, gloves, cotton-padded clothes and school supplies to leftover children in poverty-stricken families. This was also done for elderly people with no family. He encouraged the children to study diligently and live happily.
The town also adopted mobile loudspeakers, picture posters, newspapers, magazines, and radio programs to promote caring for leftover children. This was also done to cultivate a sound environment for the children.
