Hebei-based Chinese steel producer Cangzhou Zhongtie has commissioned its new 1,780 mm hot rolling production line after successfully carrying out hot load tests at the line on July 30.
The new production line, which is the first hot rolling production line in China to consist entirely of equipment of Chinese manufacture, was built by Shanghai Baoye Corporation.
The project in question, which broke ground in April 2008, will have an annual capacity of 4 million mt of hot rolled coils.
