Local batik workshop providing experiencing activities attract more visitors to the small village in Southwest China's Guizhou province, promoting the intangible cultural heritage and increasing rural incomes.
Located in Dong Village Culture Exhibition Center in Liping county, Dongpinyuan Batik Workshop opened this April, consisting of exhibition hall, experience center and training center.
Visitors can design and paint the textures by themselves and leave their works for craftsmen in the workshop to dye on the cloth. Meanwhile, visitors can also experience the life of the Dong ethnic group through learning the Dong language, singing Dong songs and playing the local flute named Lusheng.

"More tourists came to the city this year after watching Dong ethnic group dancing show on 2018 Spring Festival Gala," said Lu Yongmei, head of Dongpingyuan Batik Workshop." Their curiosities were satisfied when creating batik at the workshop, and of course, what kids love most is making wax-paintings."
