Zunyi city held a tourism promotion conference in Guizhou’s capital of Guiyang on Sept 10.
Artistic performances such as dancing and singing were put on at the conference. Specialties including tea, Chinese stauntonia and spirits were also available.
Zunyi, located in the north part of Guizhou, is adjacent to Guiyang and Chongqing. It was designated in the first group of the country’s historic cities.
The city has more than 100 special scenic spots and a wide range of specialties which have garnered it more than 10 brands, such as China Spirit Cultural City, National Garden City and National Forest City.
In addition to natural landscapes, such as the Danxia landforms and the Chishui river, Zunyi also has some historical sites. One of them is an ancient military castle – Hailongtun. The Zunyi Conference site itself is located on another, which witnessed a turning point in the history of the Communist Party of China.
