Pingtan in South China's Fujian province has announced plans to build a volleyball field and water sports training center recently.

According to an official from the Pingtan bureau of social affairs, the volleyball and training base shall cover an area of 2,906 square meters in total and will involve an investment of 29.8 million yuan ($4.3 million).
