Scenic spots in Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province are working on improving their infrastructure, as good infrastructure is viewed as an integral part of developing the zone into an international tourist destination.

Shipaiyang scenic resort, a 3A national tourist site, is located in Suao town and features two giant tablet-shaped rocks, resembling a ship cresting a wave.

Authorities made many efforts to provide tourists with a better experience during their visits, such as increasing dustbins, adding guide maps and road signs and using an intelligent vehicle identification system. The management company also built nursing facilities for mothers, emergency rooms and free WiFi covering the entire site.

A monitoring system was also installed to ensure the safety of visitors.
