The kiteboarding team of Pingtan has kicked off a winter training program in Vietnam.

The team - consisting of kiteboarding hopefuls including Li Peng, Deng Xiaocheng, Lin Wenliang, Chen Jingle, and Wang Fei arrived in Mui Nei, a coastal town in Vietnam, on Jan 23, ahead of the Thailand International Kiteboarding Tournament in March and the World Youth Kiteboarding Championships in Italy in May, according to Di Dahui, the team's coach.

Di said that the athletes will also be brushing up their English language skills – in addition to their usual training.
