More domestic workers are needed on the market in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, according to Fuzhou Evening News on Dec 4.

Local home service companies all said the demand for nannies increased by 30 percent from the previous month, and will?become higher?before the Spring Festival, which falls on Feb 19.

Winter marks a golden time for home services, as the employers become lazier with chores in cold weather, according to Ms Zhou, a manager of a homemaking agency.

With the increasing demand, the fees for hiring nannies and hourly workers will go up, she added.
