A girl in Changle county, Fuzhou, who suffers from leukemia, has received more than 110,000 yuan in donations in just three days, after her predicament was exposed by local media outlets.

Wei Qi, 8, was diagnosed with the disease last October. Her family has run out of savings for her treatment.

One big relief is that the hospital has found a matched bone-marrow for Wei for a transplant. But the family has another problem now with the 300,000-yuan operation fees.
