The 6th Straits Forum, co-sponsored by 73 units across the straits, will be staged in Xiamen on June 14. Preparations for the annual gathering are winding down.

Xiamen, the main venue, will host 27 activities involving basic communication, culture exchange and economic exchange.

Temple fairs and forums will also be organized in Xiamen.

Community governance, as a livelihood issue of common concern, will be discussed in the first forum of cross-Straits community governance.

The Straits Financial Forum, Cross-Straits Chinese Medicine Development and Cooperation Seminar and the Straits Quality Forum will adopt a more pragmatic work style, discuss more in-depth issues and have more specific cooperation.
