Fujian government has initiated a project which calls for a logistics service network covering the entire province, in a bid to promote the local logistics industry and increase its revenue to 210 billion yuan ($34.3 billion) by 2015.

The project, involving the city of Xiamen and Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, includes improving logistics and enhancing customer services. In addition, nine logistics parks, such as the Fuzhou Bonded Warehouse and Sanming Logistics Development Area, are expected to go into operation by the end of 2015, along with 41 new distribution centers and 14 logistics service platforms.

The project also includes supporting local logistics enterprises - with a focus on small and mid-sized enterprises - with policies and incentives, promoting innovation in the sector, and seeking partnerships between logistics and manufacturing.
