As the largest natural freshwater lake in Fujian province, the Thirty-Six Feet Lake nurtures all island residents with its water.

The lake has a perimeter of 165 kilometers, occupying a gross area of 2.1 million square meters. It has a water retention capacity of 1,290 cubic meters, with a maximum water depth up to 16 meters. Meanwhile, the lake is also a picturesque scenic spot with elegant scenery and inviting views. The provincial sailing team of Fujian selects the lake as its training base.
