Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme on Oct 16 in Beijing. Zhang Laiming, Vice-President of DRC, and Alain Noudehou, Representative of United Nations Development Programme in China, signed a memorandum of understanding, witnessed by Li and Clark.

Also attending were Cheng Guoqiang and Jiang Xiheng, Director-General and Vice-Director-General of DRC's International Cooperation Department, and Ge Yanfeng, Director-General of DRC's Research Department of Social Development.
