Wuhu tourism integrates with Shanghai World Expo seamlessly

Wuhu will promote its tourist attractions during Anhui Week of World Expo.

The Expo promotion will be from June 23 to 27 in an exhibition area of 216 square meters. With the theme of "Pearl Anhui, Glamorous Wuhu", there will be activities in five sections including glamorous Wuhu, county economy, urban planning, industry clusters, and tourism features.

There will be conferences and plaza activities during the Wuhu Week with an emphasis on the natural landscape and cultural activities and products.

Other tourism promotion activates include inviting 28 tourist agencies from around the country to conduct tourism product inspection, holding city ambassador selective trials and promoting caravan tour for tourism enterprises that participate in the World Expo.

With Wuhu International Travel Agency and the Chamber of Commerce Agency joining Anhui Travel of World Expo, Wuhu will organize travel professionals heading for Shanghai and cities in the Yangtze River Delta for tourism promotion.

The tourist volume in Wuhu has kept increasing ever since the opening of World Expo. It is estimated that Wuhu will see a total of 500,000 tourists during the World Expo. Last year, the city received a total of over 6.6 million tourists from home and abroad, a growth of 20.1% this year.

Major hotels in Wuhu can accommodate a total of 20,000 visitors at a time.
