Founded in 1954, the company grew to be the cradle of China's CRH and underground trains.

To date, it has become the most advanced base of train development and research, manufacturing, mending and export in China.

The factory of Changchun Railway Vehicles, covering 4,900,000 square meters, employs more than 18,000 employees in total and has 18 branches at home and abroad.

The corporation is mainly engaged in development, production and maintenance of high-speed EMU trains, mainline passenger vehicles and urban mass transit vehicles.

Following the Belt and Road Initiative, the company is now working on several metro programs in countries including Thailand, Brazil and the US, and is promoting cooperation with Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

Some lines of underground car projects in the US and Brazil have already been completed and are now in operation.
