Chinese soprano Zhang Liping will perform Schubert's lieder as part of the "Bright World Music Culture Week" at The Forbidden City Concert Hall.

With pianist Zhang Jialin, Zhang Liping will perform such Schubert classics as Ave Maria, An die Music, Wiegenlied, and Die Mainacht.

The dean of the Voice and Opera department of Central Conservatory of Music, Zhang has performed with many of the world's leading opera houses, including the Royal Opera Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Metropolitan Opera.
