The Macao Museum of Art is displaying 100 ancient treasures from the Palace Museum to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Macao's return to China. The exhibits include stone rubbings, Chinese paintings, Buddhist statues, porcelains and lacquer wares, as well as bamboo, wood, ivory and horn objects.

A bronze ding vessel of the Shang Dynasty (16th-11th century BC), a white glazed vase from the Ding kiln of Song Dynasty (AD 960-1279) and a calligraphic hand scroll written by Song scholar Zhu Xi, are among other objects of note. Deserving of special attention is a large Qing (1644-1911) fragrant burner in the shape of an elephant carrying a vessel on its back, which was a symbolic blessing for peace in ancient China.
