Tam reprises God of Wealth

Hong Kong singer/actor Alan Tam plays Cai Shen, or the God of Wealth, in Cai Shen Comes (tentative title), which will premiere on Valentine's Day next year. The film is made up of three stories that happen in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenyang.
Tan's Cai Shen is like Santa Claus, who brings good fortune to people. The Beijing part, featuring singer Miriam Yeung, tells of an office lady's love affair with her boss. The Shanghai part, played by Chang Chen and Zhang Yuqi, is a story about a blind man and the god.
Producer Arthur Wong wanted famous comedian Zhao Benshan for the Shenyang part, but Zhao fell ill and Hong Kong actor Lam Tze Chung took his place. This is the second time Tam will play the role of wealth god. The last time was in 1985.
