“When I worked in Canada, I met many Chinese. Then I became interested in China. And Agape was set to provide physical and medical care for the millions of underprivileged children and of China.” said Ron. According to Ron, the foundation has invested 1 million dollars in its philanthropy. And they had built 4 orphanages with about 400 orphans respectively located in Henan, Hunan and Guangxi province. Last year, they had cured 117 children withcongenital heart diseaseand 140 ones withcleft lip and palate. “Life is invaluable. So it is worthy even if we only help one person.” said Ron. The foundation comes to China twice a year on average and each time Ron takes part in. “This is my 37thtime to here. And I’ll be back again in October.” “I will do this charity till I’m dead. And before that, I’ll find a successor.” As reported, the American volunteers of Agape will finish all the operations and be back to their home on August 2. |
